FRESNO TO HOST FARMER RELIEF RALLY - Be There to Save the Valley!

PRESS RELEASE
Date: November 20, 2009
Date of Event: November 22, 2009
Contact: Jared Gordon
Location: Fresno Fair, Commerce Building
Press Inquiries: media@centralvalleyteaparty.com
Time: Noon to 4:00 P.M.

FRESNO TO HOST FARMER RELIEF RALLY
Fresno – The Central Valley Tea Party will be hosting the Farmer Relief Rally on Sunday, November 22 from noon to 4 P.M. in the Fresno Fairgrounds Commerce Building. The Farmer Relief Rally will be an opportunity for the Central Valley Tea Party and the people of Fresno to thank the thousands of Tea Party Patriots across the country that have donated food and funds to help those in need as a result of the government-caused drought on the Valley’s Westside.

For several weeks, Tea Party groups have been relaying across the country to bring donated food and
funds to the Central Valley, holding Tea Party rallies along the way. Three different relay routes, a
Northern route beginning in New England, a Central route starting in Kentucky, and a Southern route
starting in North Carolina, all have caravans scheduled to arrive at the Farmer Relief Rally during the
event. The Central Valley Tea Party has also been collecting food donations at locations around the
Valley for the past two weeks. Donated food and funds will be given to the Community Food Bank, and other supplies will be distributed by Water for All and the Central Valley Tea Party directly on a later date.
“When the other Tea Partiers around the country heard about our plight here in the Central Valley, they
realized that their livelihoods could also be threatened by government overregulation and overreach,”
explained Central Valley Tea Party coordinator Jared Gordon. He continued, “the Tea Party Patriots
really stepped up to help out the Valley farmers, farm workers, and everyone else dependent on farming whose livelihoods have been destroyed by environmental activists and government taking away water they had relied on for generations, and we are extremely grateful for all the help that Tea Partiers from around the country have given to our Valley.”

Doors open at noon with live music. The speaker program will begin at 2 P.M. The list of speakers and
presenters include: the Hon. Congressman Devin Nunes, Larry Naritelli, Piedad Ayala, Andrew Ian
Dodge, Daniel Blackford, Kevin Jackson, Robin Stublen, along with National Tea Party Patriots
Coordinators Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler.

Further information on the event is available at www.centralvalleyteaparty.com. More information on the relay is available at www.savingthevalley.org.

Here's the Map to Dante Club

Hey everyone.  A couple things about Action Night next tuesday.  We are still looking for a couple of commercial coffee makers that can handle a hundred coffee drinkers!  If you have access to one that would be kool.  It would stop us from buying or renting one.

Also Please RSVP if you will be joining us.  That way we will know how many chairs to set up and how many cookies to have there for everyone!  You can RSVP by emailing me at Steve@centralvalleyteaparty.com     I may not get back with you for a couple days but at least I can kinda get a head count.

Finally help us get the word out.  If you were at Boot Camp you know about the big events coming up... but it is a busy time of year and easy to miss a couple things on the calender.  Call your Tea Party family and friends and make sure they know about Action Night next tuesday!  - Steve Brandau

Do we start a Third Party? - answering a question from a friend.

Posted by a Tea Party friend, on my.Central Valley Tea Party.com :

I am so tired of the same old crap from the elected officials in this country. Dem's and Rep's are both out of touch with what the people want! They tell a bunch of lies to get voted in, and then they do whatever they want! I have voted Republican for many years but they aren't listening either!
I've looked at the ballot so many times and said to myself, which is the lesser of two evils? Does that sound familar to anyone?
The Democrats are a bunch of Communists, and I think some of the Republicans are almost as bad! Do we have any Real Americans that want to run the country for the benefit of Freedom?
I believe we need a third party and we need it now! THE TEA PARTY!

          Bill
~
And my reply:

Bill, I agree with you ... yet, I feel fairly certain that, as I like to tell the "progressives" that I argue with, "Doing the same old thing, the same old way, will get the same old result."
What we must avoid is the sort of thing that the California State Republicans did at the luxury resort of Indian Wells, near Palm Springs, only last week; hold a confab for the Rich, the Powerful, the Privileged and the "friendly" Press.
Now, I love Inga on KMJ 580. One of the reasons for my purely platonic feeling is her honesty, her trustworthiness, and her "gosh-darned" average intelligence. At that "convention," she got the fact right away, the fact why so few of us trust any Politician; They are so easily swayed, wined & dined.

To tell you the Truth, I am suspect of ALL Politicians, and all who would be Politicians. I do not see one in a million men, or for that matter, women, who could resist the temptations and distractions of Political Life.

I have been a True Independent for many years, and finally, I'm starting to once again see what made America, at its very beginning: The Power of the Individual. I see it in the faces around me at Tea Party meetings, on buses to Actions, and at Water Rallies. I see persons, not crowds.

I see folks who, as individuals, are terrified to be where they are, and yet soon feel the sheer exhilaration of standing up and speaking their mind. I was especially heartened when, at the last Hannity Broadcast, the young ladies who, with their Mom, were next to where I was precariously attempting to balance 2 BIG Action signs, asked if they could hold one up HIGHER for me. They felt their power, and climbed to the top of the haystack with that sign, and made their statement.

I see the difference between the Tea Party Patriots and other, lesser individuals who've marched and made noise. Invariably, the Police Officers who speak to us remark on how clean and respectful the crowds are, and how we take the trouble to pick up after ourselves. They smile as we thank them for their efforts in protecting us. They smile, give us a "thumbs up", and wave. They're on OUR, The Peoples, side.

I see Moms who, like my own Mom, are beleaguered and tired, yet stand and fight for us all. I see Moms who are scared and angry, dispirited and frightened. I see most of all, Moms who're outraged, outraged at the stealth with which the "progressives" attempt to subvert their children from them.

I see those, all around me, who've fought to do good for all they knew, and who've been screwed over time & again. I look about me, and, once in awhile, I see a man who will look me directly in my eye, and I want to stand, and fight with & for him.

So, I can say & ask, why do so few men look me in the eye, as Devin Nunes has?
He did not flinch or run away when I told him I was an "Independent Blogger," one of the "Good Guys." I look to the man who, like Rep. Nunes, is not afraid to speak rightly & righteously when angered, nor too proud to admit when he, or his staff, are wrong. I can confirm that of Rep. Nunes, since he made his own staffers correct themselves at his Health Care Forum. He is a man of integrity, that is what matters to me. I am only disappointed that I cannot say I voted for him: I'm not in his District.

I see machinations, and am keeping tabs. I have no outside job to run away to, and no looking away from the small children I feed & help raise every day. And in their faces, I see the Leaders of Tomorrow. I see hope, and know that my words & deeds are important each day.

And a Party? I see a Tea Party, a sea of scared, sweating individuals, who're angry, and very, very disappointed. They see, all around them, those who've worked hard and been given the shaft.
They see those who've lied, cheated and connived being heralded by the "mainstream" Press, and given a pass for the sake of Money and Celebrity.

I see "a band o' friends a' forming" and know that they will be bound not by agreement on all things, but by their common bond:
They are Americans. As Americans, they know one thing above all others:
DONT TREAD ON ME!

Freedom is their Party, and Liberty their Bond.

So William, be patient, but be firm. Don't accept excuses, or suffer fools. Forgive, but never forget. Don't be afraid to argue with fools, but don't let them make you angry. Speak with righteousness, and don't be afraid to say "I don't know." A wise man always admits what he doesn't know.

Will our Tea Party be a "true" Third Party? Do we want it to be?
Perhaps the time for Parties is past. Perhaps, at least in America, the True Power will prove to be in every individual and every voice.

We Shall See.

I just can't apologize enough to Jimmy Carter ...

Oh, I simply just can't apologize enough to ex-Pres. and incipient "Senile Dude" James Earl Carter.

You see, I posted an opinion piece about Him yesterday, and I assumed that his vituperative and weirdly preachy diatribe against "Racists" was aimed at me and other White People.

However, upon scanning the information available about Mr. Obama's "racial heritage," I was relieved to find out that President Obama is half - Caucasian!

"So what?" you say? "Who cares what color or race He is?" you say?

I'm shocked, stunned AND amazed! Don't you understand? Can't you see that, to Congressional Progressives, the Democrat Party, and every uptight, politically correct, color conscious Liberal in America, it's ALL ABOUT RACE!

It's all about making exceptions  and excuses and pandering to special interest groups and attempting to separate and divide America by doing a "tar & feather" job on Tea Party Patriots and other dissident voices ... Which brings forth the question, "Hey, weren't the folks who are in power dissidents once, dissidents who claimed that they were exercising their 'free speech' rights?"

So, the real question is "Why are all those silent masses of Non-White, Non-Black, Non-like Pres. Obama Americans being called out for speaking against the obviously brilliant, yet strangely still unseen 'Obama Health Takeover Bill' ... ? Why can't they be good, silent guilty Americans, riddled with guilt by what someone who darn near destroyed our Economy AND Foreign Policy when he was President, said about them? Why can't they just see that it's just in Mr. Carter's best self interest to try to repaint Himself as a multi-racial genius, rather than the ineffectual political tool that He's actually become?

Ok, so James Earl Carter is a self-hating racist. I find that to be amazingly sad, and deeply pathetic.
I feel terrible for Him, since I cared for My Grandfather during his period of senile dementia, and it's a terrible thing to lose your powers of discernment & discretion, even for a gentleman of suspect intelligence such as Mr. Carter.

So, to Mr. Carter and his Family, I send my deepest sympathies and heartfelt apologies.

And to his Family, I send this advice:

Get double-keyed deadbolt locks, and hide the car keys. Oh, and should he become belligerent or violent, have a good sedative handy, and in the worst case ...  DUCK!!!

Sorry, "Mr. Jimmy." Now, what's Charlie Gibson's excuse?

~
Disclaimer: If you hadn't noticed, this post was written in the same style of joshing, jovial good humor that has been used in the past 8 years by luminaries such as Sen. Al Franken, Bill Mahr, Jeannine Garrafallo (?), David Letterman, Charlie Rangel, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Wright, and ... GOSH! Even the President Himself!
So, if ya' don't get a laugh out of this, well, there's obviously something WRONG WITH YOU!!! WHAT ARE YOU,  A RACIST???

Have a nice day! :)

Update from the Front Lines; Visalia, 2.9.09, Pro-Health Care ReForm Demonstration from the "Con" side.

From our Roving Correspondent, C. Brooks Nielsen

Wednesday, Sept 2, 9 p.m.
Just got back from the Visalia street rally. Tea Party folk gathered at the last minute to offer another side to a preplanned organized Obamacare demonstration.
There we were, signs a-waving, cheering the honks and waves of passersby, almost as big a showing on our side of the street as the candle-bearing group that spent most of its time in a huddle listening to speakers in their midst.
We agreed we'll get together again locally on 9/12 to cheer on those of us there tonight who will be representing us in D.C. for the finale of the Tea Party Express.
Life is good when you know it!

Central Valley Tea Party members take the Health Care fight to our "representatives."

The Coyle Federal Courthouse, Fresno

A personal report from Caity Hughes, Volunteer Coordinator, Central Valley Tea Party

My level of irritation was already high this morning, knowing that this protest was going to be one of our last ditch efforts at getting our points across before our "elected officials" go back to Congress.

This (Socialized Health Care) is something that we shouldn't even have to fight to begin with! So, walking into the Coyle Federal Courthouse (which is incredibly nice by the way, so all us tax payers can pat ourselves on the back for contributing to one of the most useless, but gorgeously crafted buildings out there), I wasn't surprised to find Diane Feinstein's office shut and locked.

After stuffing our letters under the office door, we went on up to the 5th floor to Barbara Boxer's office, which had a lady "working" in it, but no Barbara Boxer to be found. We handed her our letters and we turning to leave when I stopped and said, "Excuse me, could I ask you a question?"

The staff member said yes, so I said, "Have you ever seen Ms. Boxer here in the office?" To which she replied, "I've seen her in Fresno." So I said, "No, have you seen her in THIS office?" And she replied with, "No I have not." So I said thank you, and walked back out the door. It's really good to know that good money went in to building an office that gets no use.

The two lovely corner offices on the bottom
right (4th & 5th stories) are those of Senators
Boxer & Feinstein.

It's actually a huge comfort, because for awhile there I thought our tax dollars didn't go to anything "really" useful. My frustration level was so high that when we walked along to Jim Costa's office, all I could do was smile and hand over my letter. I did however fax over a personalized letter just a few minutes ago, which I feel good about. I know that our efforts won't sway Boxer or Feinstein, but I really hope that we can win over Rep. Costa.

Thanks for the report, Caity!

Just uploaded to Youtube, this campaign ad for Meg Whitman, Candidate for Governor.

We're not endorsing anyone for Governor. That's not what we do here. We're providing as comprehensive a look as possible at Candidates who actually address the real issues for NObama County.

'Nuff said.

More Links You Can Use ...

From the fine folks at Scribd comes Craig Miyamoto's concise and brilliantly helpful "shorthand" analysis of Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals."

Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals by C. Miyamoto. How to Resist this Fabricated Crisis

If you've been wondering just what the main points of Alinsky's radical masterwork were, and more importantly, how to counter or use them yourself, this thoughtful analysis will provide a ready template for positive action & reaction.

Don't be afraid to use these tactics yourself, as long as you remember this unchanging fact:

We (those who oppose Statist agendas) must always speak with Truth. No hypocrisy, lies or "half-truths" should be allowed. And most important of all, the only "special interests" are those that serve the good, prosperity, and individual Freedoms of every Citizen.

Welcome to NObama County, bring water

Opinion & Commentary - "Truth vs. Constituency"

When I heard the "shocking" news earlier this year that California's senior Senator was in ethical trouble, I simply shook my head and laughed. I had no doubt of the ethical gap, living in the Central Valley. We see the Truth of who our Senator's True Constituents are all around us.

Crumbling roads & infrastructure, water that is either being stolen by "Environmentalists" in the name of 2 inch long "threatened" fish or coastal cities who claim it from Yosemite, and are given 1/3rd billion dollar "stimulus grants" to rebuild their water delivery systems. This includes an underground tunnel to steal ... umm, excuse me ... "deliver" the water in complete safety ... that is, until "The Big One" hits.

So, it becomes clear that, when speaking of our Senators, Truth is always sacrificed to serve their True Constituency. Ms. Feinstein very quietly works behind the scenes for our water problems, but to no avail. Then, less than 90 days later, San Francisco gets "their" Yosemite water.

This seems exceedingly strange, considering the proximity of the Central Valley farms to Yosemite. Wouldn't it make far more sense for S.F. to be looking to desalinization plants, powered by safe & proven nuclear power, to achieve a truly safe & "sustainable" water supply?
At best, it seems dreadfully shortsighted to place San Francisco's water supply at the mercy of "the Environment" in the form of earthquakes, fire and flood (not to mention possible terrorism ... OOPS! Uh ... SORRY!), when modern technology can produce safe and sustainable water supplies.
(Apparently, the S.F. residents and "Leaders" have forgotten what happens in an Earthquake ... The water supply from far way fails, and Rome ... errrrr ... S.F. ... BURNS!)

Unfortunately, that option was cut off when tried for the Central Valley. The very idea of desalinization plants and tunnels for sending water from THE OCEAN to the Valley was quickly turned down.
It seems that the only "Safe & Sustainable" source of water for coastal cities such as S.F & L.A. are from hundreds of miles inland, rather than safe, proven technology that has been installed in locations worldwide ... The United States excluded, of course.

Why go to these lengths when Technology has an easier answer? The answer is, of course, multifaceted. Why put floating nuclear plants with built in desalinization plants just beyond "line of sight" from the shore when you can make huge contracts for your Union constituency, while decimating your "Conservative" Agricultural "constituents". Why dig your own well, when you can steal from your neighbors well?

It becomes apparent to any thinking human being (sadly, an unprotected "endangered species") that the true purpose of the "Water Wars" is to impoverish those self sufficient few who still maintain their insistence upon Freedom & Liberty, then Control them through turning the tables on them. Send them "Emergency Food Aid", and make sure that you pay well chosen suppliers double the Market price for that food, "killing two birds" with one Control based decision.

Punish those who claim to produce food for the World by cutting their water off, then make them BEG for food, then pad your True Constituents pockets in the "charitable" act of feeding the "poor Drought victims!" SHEER TOTALITARIAN GENIUS!

So, when you take a good close look at our Senators (ignoring their husbands successful businesses, of course), remember that the Owens Valley was once as fertile and lush as the Central Valley uniformly was, until L.A. "acquired" the water. The needs of the farming few seem to always be subjugated to the needs of the Metropolitan many, but always to the needs, wants and re-elections of the "privilaged" One's.

And what of the Senator's "ethics" trouble? Well, after being ignored by the Mainstream Media, it quietly slunk into the shadows. This from the Party of "Transparency."

And how long will these mealy mouthed Hypocrites tell their True Constituents that they can import their food, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you."
Yep, after they take care of themselves ... And only so far & long as it serves them.

Truth vs. Constituency. What do you desire?
