A call for responsibility, and accountability - From C. Brooks and your Editor

I sent the following through the website Congress.org.  This site provides the opportunity to be heard by a larger political audience.  I will also hand write and snail mail this message to Senators Feinstein, Boxer, Snowe and the President.  I am sharing my effort with hopes others will let government know what they have determined is best for our country.  Without our combined show of interest, I fear the loss to our children of the American Promise.

Calling all elected public servants:

America has become a cookbook, and we are all on the menu.  Government financial stimulus, cap and trade, home mortgage handouts, cash for clunkers, environmental tyranny, and worst of all, "healthcare for all" propels nothing but corruption.

YOU can stop the madness, but only if you fix what is broken and leave what works alone!

-         What is broken is “the public option.”  Clean up Medicare and Social Security and other “great society” burdens upon our successful capitalistic system.  Restrict yourself otherwise to common defense from both domestic and foreign threats and to cooperative economic benefits for the free market system. 

-         What works may be clearly seen in the lives of most Americans who gladly take care of themselves and their loved ones and help others who are suffering from temporary set-backs in the course of life.

If you choose not to do your duty, you will be blessed with a comfortable retirement, thanks to American capitalism – unless, of course, you bankrupt America and capitulate to global chaos on your way out the door.

 May God guide you to your own best outcomes.

Thanks, C. The matter of 'public accountability' has been on my mind all week.

We look at the House, the Senate, and even the Presidency, and see continuous examples of a dereliction of accountablity to our fellow Citizens.

We listen to Senator Feinstein lie most openly, in filibuster against an amendment that quite simply addressed a single action, and state that it would "cripple" her secret efforts to "help" our critical water shortage. (See last post, and watch the videos.)

When we look at her words, and juxtapose them with the words and actions of Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, we see that her words were based, not in accountability & transparency, but in a perceived "ownership" of the people and geography of California. The lies that were stated in Senator Feinstein's filibuster were clearly meant for the ears of a press organ of which she feels firmly in control.

In my own life and my own past, I have been 'begged to indulge' those who felt that their wealth gave them excuse to demand a position not theirs by election. The priest who begged this of me was quite ready to sacrifice my wife's self esteem for a rich woman's monies. These were not monies she had earned, but had sued out of a rich husband, rich by his own toil, toil before her time.

This person felt that she could get what she desired, by pressuring the priest with threats of leaving if she didn't get her way. And, unfortunately, she was right.

And I left that church, never to return. Unfortunately for the church, the priest soon left for greener pastures, and position, and bigger money. And the church died.

Once again, I see myself in a fight for someone I love. I see myself in a fight for the People of NObama County, people who have found joy in the toil of farming, and happiness in the sight of a green field. I stand and smile, and see the reluctence of those around me to meet my gaze, to touch & be touched. But, little by little, I see the throng at the Water Rallies grow, the children being brought along, the teens seeing that they can be there & still "be cool." I see my fellows beginning to see that they are in-deed powerful, and only powerless if passive.

I recall how near I came to leaving this home of mine, after so many separate betrayals, so many "trespasses against me." Those individuals have found no great profit or protection in their betrayals.

Yet, I have found a great profit of spirit in going forward, and leaving betrayal behind.

Now we say to Senator Feinstein and others, "We see you."

We see your betrayals, your "secret" agreements, your "power politics." We also see that you do not see where true power lies, and that you will say and do anything to keep what you feel is "rightfully" yours.

And, in our grace, we will warn you. You do hold power, for now. We watch as you threaten, name call and cajole, as you feign outrage and label others bigots. We see your "Kabuki Theater."

We see & hear your denials, know the sins that you "omit," see the three fingers pointing back at you.

And we ask you to be righteous, and accept responsibility for what you've done, the trespasses you've committed. Whether "Ma'am" Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel,  Dianne Feinstein, or any of the guilty others, we don't care where you come from, or where you claim to "rule" over.

I am not as kind in my predictions of your fate as C. I know that, should you ignore us and continue your lies, your money & power will someday be as ashes in your mouths, or those of your children.

Such is the eventual fate of all unjust rulers, when their "subjects" arise and depose them.

Thugs v.s. The Truth - Why Everyone Wants to Leave California ...

"Why are "they" leaving California?"

I had a young "skull full of mush" ask me that question, when he overheard my dinner conversation about why folks were leaving California.

I had to sit back and think for a moment ... Why indeed, in a word?

"It's the Thugs," I replied. "The entire culture has gone Thug."

The young man looked at me, closed his eyes, opened them again and said ...

"I understand."

And I could see that he did. But, do you?

"As goes California, so goes America ..."
That might seem a silly old saying, were it not so very true.

Yes, the Thugs have taken over. And they think that they can run the show and tell us how we can live, what we can eat, what we can grow, what we can smoke, what we should drive, where we can go ... the list is quite literally endless.

Look all around you ... Thuggery is lauded on TV ... In Popular music ... In the Movie Theaters ... on your child's very head. ("Turn that cap around, Billy!")

The Thugs have institutionalized rudeness. You can see that simply by looking at them ("Nice underwear, dude!"), and by hearing them speak. Their habits creep into every corner of our society, and poison the minds of our future leaders.

The Thugs will treat rudely customers they've been hired to serve, while covering their name tags to hide from justified retribution. They "justify" their outright rudeness with answer like "Well, I should be off the clock by now!"
Obviously, it's the customer's fault that the store owner kept the store open long enough for them to come in and keep the Thug "customer service" employees too busy to "get off the clock" in time to catch the Simpson's reruns that are the overriding priority of their life.

Don't bother trying to make the point that they HAVE A JOB, and that they should have figured that "customer service" means you're actually there to SERVE the customer!

The Thugs feel "entitled". They're entitled to "free" (meaning someone else, ANYONE ELSE picks up the tab) schooling, lunches, health care, retirement, etc., etc., etc.

If you mention that they demanded that "free benefit", they will answer that "Well, EVERYBODY voted for it!" This generally comes from the same folks who're paying overdraft charges since they CAN'T balance their checkbooks. This is nearly always said in the same sentence with "Thank GOD for the banks overdraft coverage!" Then when the bill arrives ...

We all grew up with Thugs. We moved to the 'burbs to (try and) get away from them. Guess what, sparky ... They're running things now.

We now live in a State where Thugs run everything. They run the Cities, they run the Schools, they run the "Mainstream" Media outlets, and on and on and on and ...

But undeniably worst of all, They "run" the Federal and State Bureaucracies. Their unofficial motto is "All for One and that means US!"

This distasteful "Institutional" Politician knows that "One hand washes the other, and be sure and wash yours before you service Me." This has lead to the current rash of Politicians who "Jump Party" for the express and unhidden purpose of kissing certain Voters tushies. (Anyone see that Specter over in the corner? Be sure to wink at him.)

And like most Productive Americans, I'm tired of muttering to myself; "Give me a break ..."

But this isn't really about me. I'm still here, and I'm fighting.

It's about Truth tellers like Rep. Joe Wilson, and 'Thugs' like Nancy Pelosi, George Miller & "Ma'am" Boxer.
It's about career Politicians who call one President the nastiest things they can imagine, and when "their guy" is elected, complain when a lone voice dares to speak the Truth.

And what Rep. Joe Wilson said is the simple Truth. It's the Truth because the current President hasn't offered a Bill to Re-Form Health Care, and the only one that was anywhere near a vote (H.R. 3200) was offered by His Party, and totally ignored any sort of verification of citizenship when offering health care that would be payed for by the Government (Single Payer) Option.

In not doing anything, it would tacitly commit The People to picking up any and all of the bill for Illegal Immigrants.

Funny how that works, isn't it? If I decide to do something illegal that no one told me was illegal, I'm a criminal.
If Nancy Pelosi decides to provide an Illegal Immigrant Health Care by not requiring proof of Citizenship, she's supposed to be a Hero. No matter that YouTube is filled with videos of her calling Pres. Bush names ... She's a Democrat Hero.



Of course, that seems to be consistent.
After all, George Miller has made a career of being a "Environmental Hero" by keeping NObama County farms from growing food that would feed a hungry World, and we should be sure and thank Him for allowing us "food aid" from China.
In fact, I know that George is a Hero to Sacramento Delta Municipalities, since He says that "Big Ag" in NObama and surrounding counties are the villains, and not the Delta Municipalities who spew untreated sewage and urban runoff into the Delta.

Now, we can't forget the Republican Politicians who seem to be unable to keep their zippers shut. Even California's "Conservative Bastion" of Orange County lost an Assemblyman last week to what he later claimed was just idle bragging about an alleged affair with an employee of a company that he had a role in overseeing and ... Well, no more Assembly for him. (And, the "buddy" he was bragging to was booted off the 'Ethics Committee." Ya' sure ... Ethics.)

Which begs even more questions on so many different levels, such as:

#1: If he wasn't really having an affair, why resign? Why not simply just say that you were bragging out of 'low self esteem,' as you did the day after you resigned?

#2: You're an Assemblyman, elected by your fellow citizens to represent them, and given their implicit trust. Why do you have low self esteem?

#3: Are you stupid, as well as neurotic? Any "simple joe" knows that, if you say things around microphones, someone whom you might not want to "impress" with your real or imagined illicit sexual "conquests" might hear you.

#4: Being an Assemblyman isn't enough to give you 'self esteem'? You're pathetic.

So, why don't they simply tell the Truth? Why can't they stand the Truth?
Well, that's a simple question with a complex answer, but I'll try a simple answer.

The Truth doesn't serve them the way they wish. The Truth empowers freedom loving people, people who yearn to create abundance. It doesn't create entire counties full of unemployed farm workers who're dependent upon Politicians to "grant" them aid after shutting off their water. It doesn't create higher unemployment or economic disasters for them to "fix" or "re-form" or "Change!"
It doesn't create new opportunities for ACORN to tell pimps how to enslave underage female illegal alien hookers by not allowing them to learn to read.

And the Truth certainly doesn't allow Politicians to call Citizens with opposing views "Nazi's" and "Racists" every time they try to employ their Constitutional Right to Free Speech.

And the final upshot is this: In much the same way as Mr. Obama did, we Tea Party Patriots are saying "You Politicians created these problems, not us. We've produced, and you wish to plunder and impoverish us. We've elected you with your word that you'd "represent" us, not "resent" us."

"And if you won't represent us, we'll elect someone who will, someone who will sign a legally binding commitment to do what is right and realistic, instead of pandering to Unions and "special interests" and "Environmentalists" and ... Ya' get my drift?"

So, sit back and read if that's enough for you ... or, if you like, stand up, pick up a sign or bullhorn & join the conversation. But please, don't be a Thug.

No time for Swine Flu, or "When it rains ... Well, you know."

It never fails. I take a couple of unplanned sick days just because I feel like falling on my nose when I stand up, and things come totally unglued. Of course, they'd still be coming unglued If I weren't feeling crappy, but hey, a guy needs some moments to feel nauseous and ( New Word Alert!) swoony.

All right, enough obvious pleas for sympathy. Here's what I've seen this morning, and heard, too!

For those who're still catching up with LOL &WYSIWYG, that means "Garbage In, Garbage Out."

If you're currently feeling like you've fallen into Oz, don't be surprised. According to Mr. Obama, He's ready to 'oversee' the end of corruption, provide more health care for all people while saving money, lower premium costs, pink stars, green clovers ... oh wait, that's just silly, isn't it?
"Ignore that man behind the curtain."

Meanwhile, we here at the NObama County Register want to thank Rep. Joe Wilson for having the stones to actually tell the truth about the GIGO that Mr. Obama was throwing at us last night. Compared to the uniformly boorish treatment of Pres. Bush at his last "State of the Union" address, Congressman Wilson's heartfelt outburst simply echoed the truth-seeking sentiments of the American people.
When, in all of the times that Congressional Democrat Leaders called Pres. Bush a liar, did we hear word one from other Dem Leaders, much less a dignified personal apology for their words?

Clearly, Congressman Wilson has shown that, in addition to being a man who echoes our fearless opposition to baldfaced lies, he is a gentleman. Now, lets step back and watch how the Dem Leaders get all "wee-wee'd up," and how long it takes for one of them to demand Rep. Wilson's resignation. That too, will be GIGO.

As a final word for today, let me present a logical refutation of Mr. Obama's KennedyCare Bill. If you like, you can ignore my pointing out of the fact that, even after Mr. Obama stood up and made a speech, there is NO Obama Health Care Re-Form Act. There is, as there was before his speech, the chosen "Trojan Horse", H.R. 3200. If you've got a brain, like the Congressional Budget Office, you know 3200 is a bad bill.

So, you have a wide choice of reading, viewing and thinking today, from the inevitable chant from the "Mainstream" Media of "Just wait 'til they hear what's in it for them!", to normally humble Rep. Joe Wilson, who simply did what so many millions of his fellow Citizens were doing and simply did it where it could be heard.
And had the grace ( unlike Pelosi Reed & Co. ) to be a graceful gentleman, and apologize.

That pithy sentence certainly applies to the Obama Administration, the Democrat Rep's & Sen's, and saddest of all, The "Mainstream" (sic) Media.

What beggars disbelief is that, with the ever shifting and constantly warning and easily self congratulating and "Ooops! We underestimated ..." and "Look what this new report by our lapdogs says, we were right the first time!" and ... Well, you get my drift.

Sorry, never finished that thought. These guys give a fellow too much ammo, then they shoot themselves in the foot!

What truly beggars disbelief is that, and I'm going to attempt to summarize this, according to a multiplicity of Democrat sources, we have a Congressmen that openly declare "Why would I read the Bill?", with ill disguised scorn and ridicule for those demanding accountability.

We hear from The Administration's "Spokesmen" (Apparently, one just isn't enough, we have to trot one out to every Sunday Politishow) that apparently it depends what day it is as to whether there will be a Middle Class Tax Hike, or a Middle Class Tax Cut ... and then this from Spokesperson Gibb: "No Middle Class Tax Hike." "The President is committed ... "

Yeah ... sure ... well, we Hope he gets "Committed".

We have Cabinet members and Senators who demand that "We the People" stand aside while they "Do this fast ..."

And why must they "Do this FAST ..." ???

Well, lets look at "The Likelies." (Yes, I like making up words, don't I?)

The most Likely explanation is that they're trying to sneak in things that "The People" won't really like.
The next most Likely is that they want to claim, as they have with the Stimulus debacle, that "We never got to read the Bill before we voted on it." As unreal as it seems, my Rep. & Sen. both voted for the Stimulus, even though they knew they're "Constituents" (sic) "Back Home" were overwhelmingly ... wait, that's too weak a word for the opposition ... LANDSLIDINGLY against bailing out the Crooks!

Now we hear that many Democrat Congresspersons will likely hide their heads in the sand while on recess, or completely avoid going back to their "Constituents" (sic). They've declared the "Tactics" being used by "The Fringe Opposition" to be "unfair." These include such "underhanded tactics" as showing up for Town Hall meetings, which are now being held in secret locations for "Members" of the Congressperson's Email list, invitation only, with RSVP a MUST.

Apparently, this is meant to "stack the deck" with a handpicked audience, in the attempt to influence the rest of their "Constituents" (sic) as to how they should "just go along" with their sheep-like neighbors, and trust those who "Know Better."

Well, how 'bout this, Congresspersons: We see what you're trying, we won't stand for it, and our replies will make "The Bonus Army" look like a County Fair.

"Accountability ... Transparency ... Ethics ..."

We have them. The Government doesn't.

A New Term from the Tea Party folk: "Enviro-Tyranny."

Celebrating the triumphant return of Chris Daniel (KMJ FM & AM)from an extended international tour, a new term has been coined to describe the oppressive activities of the Govt. and "Environmentalists" against the People:

"Enviro-Tyranny."

Why NObama County? And why a "Conspiracy"?

So, why NObama County?

Is this just the latest unjustified complaint list by a bunch of "malcontents" and "sore losers", or a truly serious commentary on the actions (and inaction) of the Obama Administration, its allies and sycophants in Government, and the blatantly self-serving "Environmentalist" Lobby?

Depending on where your loyalties and aspirations lay, it's either or both. If you side with political persons and entities that espouse control of "the People", and are willing to use any and all means to achieve that control, you'll say we're spoiled babies who aren't willing to give up what "They" deem to be a destructive way of life.
If you side with those Citizens of the former "Fresno" County who have made their livelihoods and spent their lives in the vocation of Agriculture (while advancing in the span of less a century from a desert to the most productive "Farm County" in the world) you know that you and your fellow Citizens are being "screwed over" with "Environmental Opinions" used as an excuse to favor not just smelt, salmon, striped bass & "Killer" whales over the NObama County Citizenry, but to further the interests and livelihoods of numerous "special interests", political action groups, legal professionals, ad infinitum ... and Politicians. Especially Politicians.

So, lets start out with the really scary "Conspiracy Theory", the one that screws us completely.
We'll follow the trail of events through the link list, so just take it from me that there really are nearly 500,000 acres of the most fertile land on earth that has been forced to lay fallow due to Government edict.
The really scary Conspiracy Theory goes like this: The water is turned off, the land goes fallow ... awww, what the heck, lets just put it in the grimmest (is that a word?) possible terms ... the land is made barren. The Corporate Farmers, like Boswell & Harris, are badly hurt but not wiped out.
However, the Family Farmers are soon devastated. Their livelihoods gone, they are forced to sell out at pennies on the dollar, are foreclosed upon or their land seized for "back taxes." They are pauperized by both the direct opposition / malicious inaction of the Obama Administration and Congress, aided at every turn by the very ones who used to be considered reliable allies of the Farm Worker, the Unions. The "Environmentalists" (sic) side with those who will assure they are well fed, no matter who else is hurt.

So goes the first stage of the Conspiracy.

In short time, the Family Farmers are gone, the food supply is directly affected, and the People are made dependent upon the Government to assure both the supply and safety of food that now, due to Govt. "Environmental Protection", must be imported from other countries.
Strangely enough, we begin to see more talk of "local-ism" in food production, though precious little action is actually taken. Remember, building dams is expensive, but talk is cheap, and mollifying the People with "We're working on the problem" has always worked for the Politicians before, hasn't it?

(Oh, be sure and look up Famine on Wikipedia. And remember just who caused the famine this time.)

Soon, the increasing restrictions on available water lead to the statewide acceleration of residential & commercial water costs, and water from the East Side of NObama County and the Friant and Pine Flat Dams are wholly diverted to either "restoration of historic fisheries" or thirsty metropolitan areas to the north & south. (See Owens Valley & California Water Wars.)
Meanwhile, the municipalities of the Sacramento region continue to dump untreated sewage into the Delta, and both the Delta Smelt & crops begin to fail.

At this point, the remaining Corporate farms of Western NObama County have gone the way of GM ... That is, they've been "saved" (sic) by the Obama Administration, and are now "owned" by the People. Sadly, they are controlled by those who wish most to control the People, as long as they're in control.

And as always, as California goes, so goes America.

I hope this is as bad as it can get ... But, I may be an optimist.
